Plochman’s mustard knows it’s what’s on the inside that counts—until you need a new outside. After years of donning a dated bottle and website, this premium mustard-maker turned to Plan B to modernize packaging and appeal to a younger demographic.
Understanding that the barrel squeeze bottle is the most widely recognized element of the Plochman’s brand, we focused our energy on creating new labels that tipped their cap (no pun intended) to Plochman’s legacy. Utilizing photo-realistic images of barrel wood, we redesigned the label to make it a badge of pride on every bottle. Plan B also renamed varieties and added tasteful descriptions of flavor on the bottles, positioning the mustards as much more than just a condiment.
Along with the new names, label designs, and website, Plan B came up with a fresh tagline for Plochman’s that once again centered on the barrel while touting the beloved brand: The Best Mustard ‘Round.
